Heritages and Museums

The Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory was opened (first stage) in 2004. on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. On April 26, 2005 the opening of a full museum complex took place, in the solemn ceremony of which the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenka.

Vetka Folk Arts Museum- Vetka is known for its Folk Arts Museum, which displays the unique historical and cultural features of the region. The items include ancient artefacts, icons, books, manuscripts and traditional costumes.

History Museum of the city of Gomel, established in 2009, is located in the so-called "hunting lodge" - townhouse early XIX century. It was built in 1818-1820 gg. in the Empire style, designed by architect IM Dyachkova as a home for the summer residence of Count Nikolai Petrovich Rumyantsev.
